Absorb is a range of interactive courses from Crocodile Clips, with a mixture of our unique simulations, interactive animations and videos of key experiments.
Absorb Chemistry was written by Lawrie Ryan, the bestselling author of 'Chemistry for You'. Like all of the Absorb products, it offers a huge amount of interactivity - ranging from simple animations that show hidden concepts, to powerful models that allow flexible experimentation.
They're ideal to use either on a whiteboard in front of a whole class, or by individual students. You can follow the course all the way through, or take an individual section and fit it into your existing teaching.
How to use Absorb Chemistry
Most of the features and content require you to purchase a login for your school.
However, without logging in, you can try some sample units - use the tabs above to go to the Contents page, and scroll down to find the units with "free sample" beside them.
Free home use
When you purchase one of the Absorb courses for your school, your students and teachers will also be able to use the software at home as part of the licence.
Using Absorb Chemistry in your VLE
Absorb Chemistry can either be used online, or downloaded as SCORM packages. This means the new Absorb courseware can be used with all standard VLEs.

How to purchase a login
For each Absorb product, you can purchase a a school site licence, which lets you log in to all of the content on any number of computers at one school site.
The prices are based around the total number of pupils on the school roll. Prices apply to educational establishments at a single postal address and exclude sales tax.
